The Guestroom is a private apartment on the ground floor of Linnaeusparkweg 45, 1098CP Amsterdam.

How long we keep your data
We store personal data in accordance with the legal retention periods and in accordance with the guidelines of the Dutch Data Protection Authority. When a retention period expires, personal data will be deleted.


Data use
To make a booking, you must provide your contact details. You need to enter the specify contact data (name, address, city, country, phonenumber, email) as well as the data concerning the booking (eg stay period). We also save your booking date and time. Additional information (note to owner) are not mandatory.

The information you provide on our website, including notes, are personally identifiable information and are processed and used by us to ensure the processing of the booking and the provision of the requested service. We also use your data to provide you with information relevant for the booking or during the stay. The personal data collected when the booking is made will be forwarded to the following third parties:

We do not share your information with other third parties. A criminal investigation may follow in the event of abuse or criminal statements.


Secure Personal Information

We meet the technical and functional requirements for securing your data. The handling of questions is also set up in such a way that only authorized employees have access to the data.

Your rights If you ask us a question, the processing of your personal data will stop after we have answered your question. What rights you have over your data

Data subjects can always ask us which personal data is known. There is a right of inspection, right to correction and removal. Deletion is only possible when there is no longer a legal need to keep the data. Data subjects can also exercise the right to restriction of personal data processing, the right to data portability and the right to object. The Guestroom responds to a request to exercise rights within one calendar month. In principle, we provide the requested information free of charge and we cooperate in the exercise of these rights free of charge.



When you visit our website, we store a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal data and is deleted as soon as you close your browser.


Embedded content from other websites

Messages on this site may contain embedded (embedded) content (eg videos, images, messages, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly the same as if the visitor had visited this other website. No personal information about your visit is kept by us.

If something goes wrong, what then?

The Guestroom handles data as carefully and securely as possible. However, something can go wrong. Think of incorrectly addressing a letter or email or data that has been lost. In terms of privacy, this is a data breach. Of course it is important that The Guestroom is informed about this as soon as possible in order to be able to take appropriate measures. If a data breach occurs with us, we will inform the person (s) involved as well as the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
